Don’t you just love a good dip?! Seriously, the first thing I do when I get to a party is scope out the dip table.
Honestly, I’m not even picky when it comes to dips, buffalo chicken dip, dill dip (a specialty of my aunt’s), olive dip (a specialty of my grandma’s), hummus, or even a yogurt dip with a platter of fruit!
The only bad part about dips is the realization that you have eaten almost the entire bowl of dip… by yourself…
Even though dips can be so darn delicious, a lot of them can be very heavy, packed with mayonnaise, cream cheese, sour cream, or a mixture of the three. Especially if they’re served next to bread, cheese, or chips, the whole dip experience can be very filling and loaded with calories!
That’s probably why I love this Peanut Butter Honey dip so much! I can eat as much as I want without feeling like I’ve maxed out my daily calories before even eating the meal! Not to mention the fact that it’s super easy to throw together and tastes amazing!
My mom was actually the first person to introduce me to this dip, and that just adds another reason why my mom is the best mom ever!
I use regular, plain ole’ peanut butter for this recipe; however, I’m sure you could swap out different types of nut butter if there is someone with an allergy!
The recipe is super easy and super flexible! I have a basic recipe for this, but most of the time, I just kind of eyeball the ingredients until I’ve reached the desired sweetness that I’m looking for!
I serve this dip with a bunch of options! I love this with apples and pretzels! The salty pretzel with the sweet, nutty dip is amazing! However, you can also add strawberries, celery, bagel chips, graham crackers, or bananas, although those might get a little messy!
1 cup of Greek yogurt, plain
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1-2 tablespoons of honey
Sprinkle of flakey salt, optional
Sprinkle of cinnamon, optional
Mix together the yogurt, peanut butter, and honey in a bowl. Keep in the fridge until ready to serve. Top with a sprinkle of flakey sea salt, or a little dash of cinnamon!
Serve up with sliced red and green apples for a delicious, healthy snack whenever you need it!
This dip will last a couple of days in the fridge! You might need to remix it after a day or so if the oils in the peanut butter begin to separate!
This dip is absolutely delicious! It is definitely a staple in my household for a party, movie night, or even just a healthy snack throughout the day! Especially since most of the ingredients are a part of my kitchen staples anyways!
