Browned Butter

Browned Butter adds warmth, nuttiness, and a beautiful depth of flavor to whatever you add it to! Not only is it super easy to make, but you can sub out browned butter in any recipe!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Butter Plus 1 tablespoon

Instructions
 

  • Add butter to a saucepan and place on the stove over medium heat.
  • Let the butter melt, stirring occasionally, like every 2-3 minutes.
  • When the butter begins to boil, use a whisk to stir every minute.
  • In about 5-7 minutes, the butter will start to change color, when the butter begins to darken in color, whisk continuously for another 3 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the stove when the butter is deep golden amber color.
  • Let cool slightly and continue as the recipe requires!

Notes

If the recipe is using room temperature butter, let the butter firm up before you use it!
If the recipe requires cold butter, then place the butter in the fridge until its cold and solid.
