Almond Croissants

Soft, buttery croissants filled with an almond pastry cream that'll start any morning off right!

Ingredients

  • 8 Store-bought Croissants
  • 1 cup Almond Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 tablespoons Butter room temperature
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Almonds
  • Powdered Sugar for dusting

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a bowl, mix together almond flour, almond extract, vanilla extract, butter, sugar, and egg until it forms a paste.
  • Cut the croissants in half lengthwise. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the mixture on the bottom half of the croissant.
  • Put the top half back on and spread another half tablespoon on top. Place a few sliced almonds on top.
  • Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes.
  • Dust with a little powdered sugar and enjoy!
