I love white chocolate. I love quick and easy desserts. Putting them together is like my dream come true!
Which is probably why I love this white chocolate bark so much! I don’t even feel the need to admit how much I’ve eaten…
I’ve made chocolate bark before, which you can find on my blog as well! Chocolate bark is like my go-to dessert if someone is coming over last minute! It’s one of those desserts that you can make as complicated or as easy as you want! If you’re going to complicated, you could layer different kinds of chocolate on top of graham crackers (or saltines, if you want to get really crazy) with whatever toppings you’d like! Or you can super simple and just spread some white chocolate on some parchment paper and add whatever is in your pantry!
One requirement that always makes its way into my chocolate bark is one type of salty ingredient! I absolutely love sweet and salty together, chocolate covered pretzels, chicken and waffles, butter popcorn with candy-coated chocolates, seriously, the list is pretty much endless! I typically stick with either nuts or pretzels for my chocolate bark. I stick with these because I like to make all my ingredients about the same size. This helps when you break the bark up, you get a little bit of everything in each bite!
For this combination, I am using white chocolate with pretzels and dried cranberries! These were just a couple of the ingredients that I had in my pantry, however, you could switch it up how you like! Dried apricots would also be delicious, or even dried blueberries! You could switch out the pretzels with pistachios or even cashews!
Seriously, I can’t stress enough how versatile this dessert is!
1 bag of white chocolate chips
1 cup of dried cranberries
1 cup of pretzels, chopped into small pieces
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or the microwave at 30-second intervals! Pour the chocolate onto a baking sheet and spread pretty thin, about a quarter of an inch! Then sprinkle over your toppings. Press gently on the toppings to ensure they stick to the chocolate!
Allow to set at room temperature or in the fridge if you’re short on time! Break into chunks or cut into nice and even squares, depending on your personality!
Oh gosh, I wish I could accurately describe how much I love this dessert! It’s so unbelievably easy to throw together and tastes amazing!
