Why You’ll Love…

There is no better holiday cookie than the classic peanut butter blossom cookies in my opinion, so I only felt it was fair to make a delicious small batch recipe that I could enjoy any night of the week! It’s a super easy recipe to throw together and you only need a few ingredients! The great thing about this recipe is that you really don’t have to share because you won’t have enough to bring to the family gathering, so you can enjoy them all by yourself at home!

Substitutions and Additions:

This Easy Peanut Butter Blossoms Recipe is one of my favorite small batch recipes to make, but I have a substations and additions to make this even better!

Types of Nut Butter: If you have a peanut allergy, or are baking for someone with a peanut allergy, you can use almond butter or another type of nut butter for this recipe! If you’re using natural peanut butter, I would make sure to stir it completely before adding to the wet ingredients! Sometimes natural or organic peanut butters can have a bit of extra oil on top that can throw off the recipe ratios.

Add Some Crunch: You can chop up peanuts really finely and mix them together with the sugar coating when you’re rolling the cookie dough in the coating! That would add the perfect extra crunch to these soft and chewy cookies!

Types of Candy: You can really go crazy with the type of candy you add to the top of these cookies! From peanut butter chocolate candies, to white chocolate candies, there’s really no rules about what candy to add to the top of the peanut butter cookies! You could even add a bit of cinnamon to the cookie dough and add a white chocolate candy to the top! The combination of cinnamon, peanut butter, and white chocolate would be just delicious!

If you’re looking for another type of blossom cookie to enjoy, I made this Chocolate Blossom version that uses peppermint kisses and it’s absolutely amazing! Chocolate and peppermint are such a classic flavor combination around the holidays and these cookies are no exception! Be sure to try them out next time!

Equipment Needed:

Baking Sheet – I use a small baking sheet with parchment paper when baking these cookies! They don’t spread out in the oven, so you don’t need to give them too much room! Just be careful when you’re adding the chocolate to the top of the cookies as it will be a very hot cookie sheet still!

Rubber Spatula – I use a rubber spatula to mix all the ingredients together because I think that’s the easiest with these small batch recipes! I also don’t like cleaning a ton of dishes, so I would leave the electric hand mixer for another recipe!

Small Bowl – Because this is a small batch recipe, I recommend using a small bowl and rubber spatula to mix everything together! I wouldn’t deal with a large mixing bowl or even the bowl of a stand mixer when you have such small amount of ingredients! But that’s really just my recommendation

Small Cookie Scoop – I like to use a small cookie scoop for these cookies because I like to have a good ratio of soft peanut butter cookie to melty chocolate candy. You can use a small cookie scoop or a medium size cookie scoop as well!

Helpful Tips and Tricks

To make these cookies even easier, I’ve also used a store-bought shortcut too! You can just grab peanut butter cookie dough at the store, roll into sugar, and then bake it according to package directions. Then when the baked cookies are done, just pop a chocolate candy on top! No one will ever know you didn’t make the cookie dough yourself! It’s one of my favorite quick and easy short-cuts when that holiday party springs up on your calendar!

The chewy texture of these Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies pairs perfectly with the melty chocolate candy in the middle! I think these might be one of my favorite holiday cookies that I make every single year! The peanut butter flavor is so sweet and delicious especially with the crunchy sugar on the side! Who doesn’t love chocolate and peanut butter together?!

Cheers!
