Edible Peanut Butter Cookie Dough is the cookie dough of your dreams. Creamy peanut butter cookie dough that you can eat as much as you want without worrying about those pesky eggs (and that flour too!).
What IS Edible Peanut Butter Cookie Dough?
I don't know who has the willpower to resist cookie dough, but I can tell you, it definitely isn't me! I'm always sneaking a little taste or two of cookie dough, for quality assurance, of course! But the one thing better than sneaking tastes of cookie dough while you bake is being able to eat the whole bowl of dough with no worries!
This Edible Peanut Butter Cookie Dough is made without using any eggs in the dough! Another crucial step to making this totally food safe is warming up the flour to 180?F to make sure to cook off any bacteria that might be hiding in the flour.
It's full of peanut butter flavor and just melts in your mouth. It's got all the flavor and texture we love of peanut butter cookie dough with no side effects! That means you can eat the whole bowl if you want!
Can The Dough Still Be Baked?
This Edible Peanut Butter Cookie Dough is so delicious, I know it would probably be a super delicious cookie, right? Unfortunately, no. This dough doesn't contain any leavening agents like baking soda or baking powder so the cookie dough ends up looking like a little clump of dough.

Don't Forget the Flour!
I remember my mom always telling me that I had to be careful about the raw eggs in doughs and batter, but no one ever mentions the flour!
While we don't always think about flour being raw, if it's not baked or cooked through, then it technically would be a raw food. Raw flour can have traces of bacteria and food poisoning from the factory that it came from. While the risk of someone actually getting sick from consuming raw cookie dough is pretty slim on it's own, it's still better to avoid the raw ingredients if we can!
I like to microwave my flour to 180?F before I add it to this cookie dough. Just to be on the safe side! It takes about 2-3 minutes in the microwave depending on your microwave!
