Substitutions and Additions:
This S’mores Puppy Chow Mix has to be one of my favorites! The crunchy cereal and pretzels pair perfectly with the graham crackers and marshmallows! Not to mention the delicious coating of powdered sugar! Here are some other options to customize this easy recipe:
Chocolate Chips: I like to use semi sweet chocolate chips with this recipe! Especially since everything is getting coated in powdered sugar! However, you can also use milk chocolate or even dark chocolate chips! If you want, I have a recipe here that uses white chocolate chips and that recipe is so good! I made it around the holiday season as a spin on reindeer chow, but honestly it’s delicious any time!
Crunchy Mix-ins: There’s really no limit on the amount of crunchy mix-ins you can add to this recipe! For the sweet and salty inspiration, you can add in peanuts, pretzels, or even crushed up chips!
Equipment Needed:
Large Mixing Bowl – I like to use a large bowl when it comes to melting the peanut butter and chocolate chips together! This helps the chocolate chips melt easier without burning!
Large Ziploc Bag – To mix everything together, I prefer to use a large bag to shake everything together! You can also use a paper bag or even an airtight container! Just make sure you seal everything up before shaking!
