Everything but the kitchen sink is loaded up into these cookies! Sweet and salty comes together to form one of my favorite cookies! Chips, pretzels, chopped chocolate; the options for this cookie are endless!

Everything but the kitchen sink

Talk about a wild name for these cookies! Everything but the Kitchen Sink Cookies are known for being filled with everything you can imagine. Nuts, oats, crackers, chips, pretzels, dried fruit, chocolate, etc. Basically everything but the kitchen sink…

Which is exactly where they get their name from!

In my recipe, I really wanted to play off of the sweet and salty vibe! So I added crushed chips, pretzels, and tons of chopped chocolate!

I think it would be really delicious to swirl in some peanut butter too! But I didn’t do that for this recipe!

These cookies are supposed to be crazy and fun, so I *highly* encourage you to add as many crazy things as you want! It’s all going to taste good so don’t stress too much about what to add in!

Everything and anything you have in your pantry will work!

Most important ingredient

I know I really went for it in this title, but I truly believe this one ingredient is crucial for making delicious cookies.

Can you guess what it is!?

It’s vanilla! Did you get it right?

Sometimes I think vanilla gets overlooked, especially in ice cream flavors. But vanilla actually plays a really important roll in cookies, regardless of their flavor.

Vanilla helps enhance the sweetness of the cookie itself. If you’ve ever had a cookie that didn’t really have a lot of flavor (we all know what that tastes like…), it’s probably because there was either very little vanilla or no vanilla at all.

Vanilla acts almost like an enhancer of the cookie without adding more sweetness. So it makes the sugar stand out without making the cookie too sweet.

Trust me on this, vanilla is crucial to making a well-rounded, flavorful, delicious cookie!

Kitchen Sink Cookies tips and tricks

If you haven’t guessed by now, my first tip will be to add plenty of vanilla to this recipe! I’ve gotten comfortable enough to just eyeball the amount of vanilla I add in. If you’re not comfortable with this, make sure you add the whole 2 teaspoons!

Another trick to making these Kitchen Sink Cookies is to have fun with your ingredients! These are supposed to be crazy, wild cookies! So add some mix-ins. Ten points if you add in popcorn!

Typically I suggest to add a sprinkle of flakey salt on all your cookies, but these cookies have plenty of salt added in with the pretzels and chips. So for this time, you can go ahead and skip adding salt to the top!

Aren’t these cookies totally crazy!?

The sweet and salty just hits every tastebud in your mouth.

Pure heaven in every bite!

Cheers!
