I love hosting Thanksgiving! I think I actually start planning my tablescape in August! It's one of my favorite parts of hosting! I love decorating a table with candles, napkins, and of course, a seating chart!
However, not everyone loves hosting and/or decorating, so I've put together an easy, but beautiful Thanksgiving table decor ideas that will turn anyone into the hostess with the mostess!

Why You'll Love This Tablescape
You'll love this elevated but simple tablescape because it looks fancy, but really, it's simple and using all plates you can just toss in the garbage when you're done!
Pairing Elevated with Simplicity
I love the idea of pairing something like a linen tablecloth and cloth napkins with plastic plates. It kind of makes me chuckle when I think about setting a fancy table with plastic silverware. But here's the thing: this is not the plastic silverware of your childhood picnics!
There are some really great brands out there that have sturdy, durable, and even recyclable plates, glasses, and silverware that are perfect for elevated occasions!
This is also a great tip for anyone trying to save money, especially around the holidays! You don't need to worry about buying nice cutlery, plates, tablecloth, napkins, and decor! You can pick which would be best for your tablescape and then make do with what you have at home!
Buying Versus Renting
No, I'm not talking about housing! There's a ton of party rental places that you can go to for renting glassware, linens, and even plates if you want! Depending on how many people you're hosting, this can end up being a little pricey.
I like to weigh the pros and cons on investing in something versus just renting. For example, it could only be $30 to rent a tablecloth, but if you buy a white linen tablecloth for $50, you can use that for Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthday dinners, summer parties, baby showers, bridal showers, etc. Therefore, it could end up making more sense to buy it, because you would use it more! Keep that in mind with your tablescape! It might be better to buy the white plates because you know you'll use them again, and then just rent the red cloth napkins, because you may not use those as much throughout the year!
Things to Buy:

- Glasses

How to Change Things Up to Fit Your Style
Here are a few tips and tricks I have to creating a beautiful tablescape to fit your personal style!
- Shop your house - look around your house for table decor that you might not realize you have, from candles, to mini pumpkins. You might have all you need sitting right in front of you!
- Colors - choose colors that bring you the most joy! I like to add a warm color to my Thanksgiving table, but you can add whatever accent color you like best!
- Personalize - if you would like, you can add personalized place settings to really make everyone feel at home! This could be a name card printed on cardstock and placed on their napkin!

Tips to Remember:
- Buy vs. Rent - Make sure you think about what if more cost effective in the long run! It might be worth it to invest in the tablecloth and rent the glasses!
- Simple is Best - Don't feel like you need to create a jaw-dropping centerpiece! Sometimes just a few candles can do the trick!
