Strawberry Jam Cookies
When it comes to adding fruit to cookies, you have to be careful not to throw off the moisture content of the cookies! Baking is the ultimate (and most delicious) science, so you have to be careful not to mess with the ratio of the flour to moisture content.
Fruit has a ton of extra moisture to it which means the cookies could end up spreading into flat disks when they bake. Trust me, no one wants that!
To avoid this, I like to add strawberry jam instead of actual strawberries! This adds a ton of delicious strawberry flavor without adding too much extra liquid!
The best part about adding the jam is that you can substitute this recipe with your favorite jam flavor! Strawberry, blueberry, raspberry, pineapple! It's up to you!
Strawberry Crumble
Crumble topping is my favorite thing in this world! It's sweet, crunchy, and adds a ton of flavor to whatever you add it to! Muffins, pies, cookies, it only makes them better!
I like to add a mixture of granulated sugar and brown sugar to my crumble to get the perfect sweetness, but you can use one or the other if you prefer!
To make this crumble, make sure the butter is room temperature to help the crumble come together quicker!
