I have a recipe here for making your own filling!

Variations and Substitutions
These Apple Pie Pastries are so quick to make, but I have a few other options below!
- Cherry - swap out the apple pie filling for cherry pie filling!
- Simply Apple- leave out the crumble topping and add a little extra apple filling for an apple pastry!
- Caramel - add a drizzle of caramel to the top instead of using a crumble topping to get a caramel apple pastry!
If you like the caramel apple combination, try out this Caramel Apple Galette!
Equipment
Muffin Tin - A muffin tin is required to get those perfect round shapes of the pastries after they're baked!
Pastry brush - I like to use a pastry brush to brush the egg wash on top of the puff pastry, but I also like to use it when I'm greasing the muffin tin! I think it helps get the non-stick spray in all the little cracks!
Top tip
Don't forget to grease the muffin tin before adding the puff pastry! You don't want the puff pastry to get stuck in the pan after baking!
Storage
- Room Temperature - store in an airtight container for about 2-3 days!
- Fridge - store in an airtight container for about 3-4 days!
- Freezer - cover and store in an airtight container for about 2-3 months!
FAQ
I like to use one to help the edges turn a beautiful golden brown, but you can leave it off if you prefer!
Depends on the filling! I recommend a heartier, fruit filling, like cherry or apple. I don't recommend using pumpkin pie filling!
Cheers!
