My Favorite Morning Smoothie

Published: Mar 30, 2022 · Modified: Sep 2, 2022 by Holly Michelle · This post may contain affiliate links

I can not function without breakfast in the morning. I don't know how people can!

But it's hard during the week when you need to get ready, the dog needs to go out, there are lunches to make, and laundry to start. It's a lot. That's why I love these morning smoothies.

Quick, delicious, and it makes my day start out healthy and energizing!

I make one of these every day before work. It's great because I can sip on it while I'm getting ready which saves me a ton of time in the morning!

My boyfriend actually introduced me to this smoothie when we first started dating. Throughout that time, the smoothie has grown with my additions of spinach, oats, honey, and cinnamon! I found that by adding in the oats I feel way more full, plus helps me get some fiber in.

The same goes with spinach because there is not going to be a day where I am willing to add a pile of greens to my breakfast plate. But if I sneak it into my morning smoothie every part of me wins.

You could add protein powder to it if you'd like or any powder supplements.

If I could, I would pack in all the vitamins and nutrients I need for the day into this smoothie and call it a day.

It's a pretty good way to sneak in some veggies if you have kids too!

Ingredients:

1 apple

1 banana

1 cup of ice

½ cup of milk

1 large scoop of peanut butter

¼ cup of quick oats

½ cup of baby spinach

A drizzle of honey

A sprinkle of cinnamon

Add ice to a blender.

Add in chopped apple, banana, peanut butter, oats, and spinach.

Then add a little bit of cinnamon and some honey, depending on how sweet the banana is.

Pour over milk.

Blend until fully smooth and creamy.

Serve immediately!

When I say I have this every morning for breakfast, I'm being 100% honest here.

It's my go-to for a workday, a busy Saturday, or any day in-between.
