Why You'll Love This Recipe

You'll love this quick and easy Chia Seed Pudding recipe because it's the perfect breakfast for busy mornings! Need to get the kids to school or an early meeting, this chia seed pudding is easy to make and filling!

Oat Milk

I love to use oat milk in this recipe because I personally like the flavor of oat milk. You can use whatever milk you have on hand!

This recipe is perfect for people with dairy sensitivities because you can use almond milk, dairy-free milk, or even coconut milk! I recommend to stick with whatever type yogurt you're using! If you are using a coconut yogurt, then use a coconut milk! It helps the flavors blend together.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are the ultimate powerhouse seed, in my opinon! I had a few weeks of travel and stress from my wedding and honeymoon, and my gut was very upset with me. I started looking up what I could do with my diet to help my gut and chia seeds popped up every time!

Chia seeds can act as a prebiotic to help the good bacteria in your gut! I love to add them to smoothies, yogurt, or granola!

Ingredients

  • Yogurt
  • Oat Milk
  • Chia Seeds
  • Freeze Dried Strawberries
  • Granola
  • Sliced Almonds
  • Honey

See recipe below for all the details!

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Step 1: Add yogurt to a bowl.
  1. Step 2: Then add in chia seeds.
  1. Step 3: Add in oatmilk.
  1. Step 4: Stir everything together and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Hint: Depending on the thickness of your yogurt, you can add a splash more of oat milk or add less if your yogurt is thinner!

Variations and Substitutions

Giving the visitor ideas on how they can change this recipe to better suit their dinner guests, or their cultural cuisine, is a great way to increase the chances they make the recipe

  • Spicy - add chili pepper flakes while cooking to imbue heat into the dish, or banana peppers
  • Deluxe - add guacamole, crispy onions or
  • Kid friendly - add crushed potato chips (ketchup chips!)

See this spicy version of this recipe on my website! (placeholder for in-content link)

Equipment

Spatula - This one is kind of a personal preference, but I love to use a spatula to mix the chia seeds because it helps scrape down the edges of the bowl. Sometimes if you leave chia seeds on the edge of the bowl or glass, they can harden and take quite a bit of scrubbing to get clean!

Top tip

Use a yogurt that you like the flavor of! Instead of using plain yogurt, try out a vanilla or strawberry to infuse your chia seeds with!

Storage

  • Refrigerator - Cover and store in an airtight container for about 2-3 days!

FAQ

Can I use plain yogurt?

Yes! You can use whatever your favorite yogurt is! I recommend picking a yogurt you would eat all by itself!

Can I add flavorings?

Sure thing! Add spices, extracts, make it your own!

Cheers!
