Why You'll Love This Recipe

This is a quick and easy recipe to throw together but tastes like you're a master chocolatier! The rich chocolate pairs perfectly with the nutty Nutella and swirls of marshmallow!

Quick Fudge Recipes

I absolutely love this recipe for fudge because the base is actually pretty simple! It starts off with chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and butter. From there, you can really make this fudge into whatever you want! It can go from simple chocolate fudge to rocky road fudge with marshmallows and nuts! I love that you can take this simple base and turn it into whatever best fits what you're craving!

Nutella Hot Chocolate Swirls

To really make this fudge turn into hot chocolate fudge, I wanted the top to resemble when your marshmallow is melting into the hot chocolate! By adding a few dollops of Nutella and marshmallow fluff to the top of the fudge, you can use a skewer, knife, or toothpick to get these beautiful swirls in the top!

You want to make sure you do this step right as your done making the fudge! If the fudge starts to set, you won't get those beautiful swirls!!

Ingredients

  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Vanilla
  • Butter
  •  Marshmallow Spread
  • Nutella Spread

See recipe below for all the details!

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Step 1: Add chocolate chips to a bowl with the butter.
  1. Step 2: Once the chocolate is fully melted, add in vanilla and sweetened condensed milk.
  1. Step 3: Then add to a parchment-lined square dish. Add dollops of Nutella and marshmallow fluff to the top.
  1. Step 4: Swirl the Nutella and marshmallow fluff together. Then chill.

Hint: I like to use a knife to swirl the top, I think it creates bigger swoops and swirls!

Variations and Substitutions

This Hot Chocolate Swirled Fudge is a quick and easy dessert that's perfect for a chilly winter night! Here are a few other ways to spice up this recipe:

  • Chopped Nuts - add a little bit of crunch with some pecans, peanuts or other nuts!
  • Cayenne - add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a spin on Mexican Hot Chocolate!
  • Chopped Pretzels - for some extra crunch and a hint of saltiness, add some chopped pretzels to the top!

Equipment

Square Baking Dish - To get thicker pieces of fudge, I like to use an 8x8 square dish! However, you can also use a 9x13 dish as well, just know that the pieces of fudge will be thinner!

Parchment Paper - For easy clean up and quick removal, parchment paper is a must! It makes it so much easier to remove the fudge from the pan after it's cooled!

Top tip

You really want the fudge to set in the fridge for at least 3 hours! This makes it way easier to cut!

Storage

  • Room Temperature - store in an airtight container for about 7 days!
  • Refrigerator - store in an airtight container for about 8-9 days, but let come to room temperature before eating!
  • Freezer - wrap securely in plastic wrap, then freeze for 2-3 months. Let thaw in the fridge until ready to eat

FAQ

Do I have to use semi-sweet chocolate chips?

I would use either semi-sweet or dark chocolate! This recipe has a lot of other sweet things added in that using a milk chocolate could make this recipe too sweet!

Can I use marshmallows instead of marshmallow fluff!

You can use mini marshmallows if you would like! However they could harden in the fridge!

Cheers!
