One of my top tips for hosting Thanksgiving is to have a really good timeline for all the day is going to go! As a planner, I think a timeline works great for everything (and I do mean, everything), but especially on Thanksgiving when everyone is getting ready to arrive at a certain time and you don’t want to pull that turkey out of the oven when everyone arrives only to find that it needs extra time in the oven! Setting aside some time in the morning for breakfast and a slow start to the day is the best way to start off your Thanksgiving! These make-ahead breakfasts can be made the night before, or even the week before! That way you can start Thanksgiving by popping something in the oven and you’re ready to go!

I’ll link all of my breakfast recipes here, in case you’re looking for something in particular!

It only feels right to start Thanksgiving day off with these Pumpkin Scones! They’re soft and flakey and can turn anyone into a morning person, especially on Thanksgiving when there’s a parade to watch! I recommend making the whole batch the night before and chilling in the fridge/freezer overnight. Then in the morning, you can pop them in the oven and have delicious, warm scones to enjoy! I topped my scones with white chocolate but you can use any type of chocolate chips, or do a simple powdered sugar glaze! These scones are a new favorite in my house for a good reason!

You can serve them with a little maple syrup, some fresh fruit, and a side of bacon! I also have a make-ahead casserole version if you don’t feel like making individual sticks that’s a definite crowd pleaser!
