This Halloween Puppy Chow is an addicting mix of chocolate, peanut butter, crunchy cereal mixed in with fun Halloween flavors! This mix doesn't last long in my house!

What is Halloween Puppy Chow?

Puppy Chow or Muddy Buddies is a super easy snack mix that takes less than 10 minutes to make! There's a ton of variations out there, but typically it's made with chocolate, crunchy cereal, and powdered sugar.

In my Halloween version, I melt chocolate and peanut butter together that gets poured over the cereal and then coated in powdered sugar. Peanut butter and chocolate are such a classic flavor combination that's only made better with the addition of a crunchy cereal and powdered sugar coating.

When I tell you this stuff is addicting, I'm not lying! I made a batch on Thursday and by Saturday, I had crumbs left! Which I still ate those too! Powdered sugar chocolate crumbs?? Yeah, we're not wasting those!

Tips and Tricks

This biggest tip I have for making this super easy dish with an even easier clean up is to make all of this in a large plastic bag!

I get a large gallon size bag that I add the cereal to, then pour in the chocolate peanut butter mixture. Make sure the bag is sealed tight, then shake like crazy!! I repeat this exact same step with the powdered sugar.

Then I pour the whole mixture on a parchment lined baking sheet for even less clean up! My goal is for you to only have to wash a measuring cup, one bowl, and a spoon!

Not only does this help with clean up, but is also a super fun way to get the kids involved!

Ingredient List:

  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • Peanut Butter
  • Butter
  • Chex
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Pretzels
  • Reese's Pieces
  • Candy Corn

This is such a fun and easy recipe to throw together! It's perfect for Halloween movie nights or a fun crowd pleasing dessert for a party! Be sure to check out my version of 31 Nights of Halloween at the end of this post!

Cheers!
